Legal aid does not necessarily cover all your costs and therefore should not be confused with free legal aid.
Expenses that will normally be covered in full or in part
- Translation of relevant documents for use in the abduction case
- Legal assistance in Denmark or the country to which the child has been abducted
- Travel expenses related to court hearings abroad
Expenses that will not be covered
- Custody proceedings (except in certain countries with which Denmark does not cooperate under the conventions)
- Access proceedings and access costs in general
- Travel expenses for your abducted child
- Travel expenses otherwise not connected with court proceedings or the like
- Your lawyer’s work with the legal aid form
